Stress Reduction

C Walsh 2/2/18

Just sharing a positive family NO (NeurOptimal) experience success. Dad initial client seeking stress reduction.. about 8 sessions so far.. says “it’s helping a little”. His wife was interested in NO for her teenage son who’s having academic challenges... so now teenage son is doing sessions :)... he has a tutor weekly and told his mom after 1st NO session that he was able to grasp material a lot easier :). Mom seems to think her husband gets lots of stress relief with NO “He always returns from sessions calmer, and less tense”. .. it’s a good sign when a parent client feels confident in NO to train their own kids. Anyways this was my first such experience where second family member is beginning training - so thought I would share.. well done NO !

Recovery From Stroke

S Davis 30/5/18

Session 25! The therapists at Rehab say they’ve never seen anyone recover so fast from a massive bilateral stroke. He was paralyzed and unable to talk on July 7. Physical movement is nearly back completely. He still has global aphasia (difficulty comprehending and speaking language) but it is all coming back very rapidly. Every day major milestones.

Recovery From Stroke

J Martin 19/5/18

A client who was 12 1/2 years out from her stroke. She could talk, though a bit quietly, and could walk with a lot of effort and always used a cane, walker, or wheel chair. After her first session, her left hand, which had been stuck in a clenched position, released. After session 3, the constant spasm in her leg, as a result from the stroke released. She did not tell her physical therapists that she had been undergoing nfb sessions, and they asked her what was different, as her muscles had returned to a “normal” state. In addition, her voice was getting stronger.

Dementia

My mom who was diagnosed with Early Onset of Dementia. This morning she said to me at breakfast ...”how do you know this (NeurOptimal) is working?” And I asked her “what are you noticing that’s different?” And her responses was “I feel more content and happy inside”. I have noticed her “spark” back.

My mother in law is diagnosed with dimentia. She keeps forgetting everything. A few weeks ago she couldn’t tell the doctor if she had grandchildren. Now that she has 4 daily (training) sessions. She speaks normally, doesn’t repeat the same question over and over again.
